Golden Bowl
There is no shortage of yellow among the Saunders woody peonies. What sets this one apart is the distinct star shaped pattern of the red flares. With its cardinal and gold coloration this one could be adopted by the Iowa State Cyclones.
It is in the lineage of ‘Urania’ (Daphnis, 1995) but in this case, I think the original might be the finer plant. William Gratwick noted it as a pretty good plant and easy to propagate.
